A Little Pre-Easter Fun
We have plans of getting up for the early church service on Sunday morning so when we got up this morning Emma was in a very good mood so we figured it would be a good time to do Easter Baskets. Mom brought this very lovely all prepared basket of goodies and gifts for everyone (mostly for sweet Emma). We enjoyed watching the expressions on her face as we opened every gift - there was an array of chocolates, a stuffed bunny, a couple of books and some other fun things. Tomorrow I'll make sure to post some pictures of Emma in her Easter dress.

27 Ain't That Bad!
Another year older! Yesterday was a great birthday... Allen watched Emma for most of the day while mom and I went to a Red Cross fundraiser event in Hendersonville, "Red Cross Runway." It was a fashion show and ladies brunch; we had a good time. Afterwards we headed over to the mall and did a little shopping - I had a baby gap gift card that I had not used yet and they also just built a brand new Barnes and Noble that is two floors; beautiful store - we spent at least an hour looking around and ended up with a purchase of a children's book for Emma, a book for me and the new Trivial Pursuit Game for when the rest of my family comes down for Easter (we love to play games!) That night Allen took me out to dinner and then we came home to open gifts and have birthday cake that my mom brought down from northern Virginia. Looking forward to another great year!
