Christmas II - Rollands

Our second Christmas was with the Rolland's who came down the Monday after Christmas and spent the week through New Year's with us. We were very fortunate this year to spend the holidays with both families. One of Emma's big presents from Grandma and Grandpa Rolland was a Radio Flyer Wagon - sadly we can't use it much now, but we're excited about using it more when it gets warm outside. We spent our time with them having a great Christmas, shopping, watching movies and eating yummy foods.

Family Portraits, 2009

In October, we decided to get family portraits - we thought they would make good Christmas presents this year for family as well as a good Christmas card. Emma did amazingly well - she was just beginning to walk in November so she was still a little unsteady for some of the shots, but overall we were really pleased with the way they came out.

Turkey Weekend at Casa Rolland

We spent Thanksgiving this year with the Rolland's in Northern VA. It was fun to watch Emma enjoy Thanksgiving dinner; she pretty much ate everything that was served. We also helped Grandma and Grandpa Rolland start decorating their house for Christmas by decorating the tree. Grandpa Rolland was very generous in giving us one of his train sets so that we could put it around our Christmas tree at home. Emma loved watching Daddy and Grandpa put it together and see it go around the track.

Well Needed Updates

Ok, so I know I've been the biggest blog slacker ever - I do apologize! In this post I have included pictures from Halloween and a few of the beautiful fall weekends we had in October. Emma is almost 10 months old and is a pretty darn good walker - she falls now and then, but for the most part has great balance and walks around the house everywhere and gets into everything! As you can see from the Halloween pics, she was a giraffe this year, which kept her warm while trick-or-treating. It rained practically all day, but we had a about a 2-hour window to walk around the neighborhood. We had our friends over, the Frady's for dinner, trick-or-treating and some games. My parents were visiting for the weekend, they hadn't been down to see Emma since Labor Day so it was good to visit with them. I can't believe how quickly the holidays are approaching, I promise to be better about getting posts up of our sugar bean, we seriously cannot believe that she will almost be a year old. More pictures to come soon. Have a great weekend!
