Lazy Weekend

We had a nice Memorial Day weekend as a family of three (+ dog). We spent a lot of time relaxing, yet we were productive. It rained most of the weekend so we spent a lot of time at home with an occasional errand or two to get us out of the house. Allen and I have been working on our master bathroom the past couple of weeks and this weekend we put the final touches on it by painting. The builders who built our home put a decorative chair-rail in our bathroom so we decided to start with just painting below it the color burgundy, which matches our decor very well. We also replaced the mirrors and light fixtures. We managed to fit in some grocery shopping, a little cleaning and Allen worked on straightening up the garage. I also spent a good bit of the weekend catching up on some laundry - Emma decided to help...

Emma is fascinated with Kalea - she follows her movements very intently especially when Kalea is wagging her tail. Kalea is very good with Emma, the licking can get a little out of control but overall she does great with her.

We had put Emma on the floor laying up against Kalea so we could take a picture and it turned into this... photo-op turned bad! We weren't able to get a good shot of them together!

Emma is trying so hard to sit up on her own - she's not quite there yet, but I think it will come real soon. Here are some of her attempts...
